Optus had a retail stall at Perth’s Victoria Park “Summer Street Party” in November.  This annual street event was buzzing with over 10,000 people. Perth has recently become a part of the National Broadband Network, so there was a real focus  for Optus to grab patrons attention throughout the day.

‘Attention grabbing’ is a speciality of the SportSim simulator! Creating curiosity amongst the massive crowd, the SportSim cricket simulator became a highlight in the stall as patrons came to discuss all things Optus, whilst being entertained by the SportSim screen. Cricket was the flavour of the day, which tied in nicely with Optus’ recent sponsorship of the Australian Cricket Team.

With some questionable bowling actions on display, controversial LBW decisions and plenty of wickets tumbling, it was a great day for all involved.
