There’s a lot more going on in Moonee Ponds, Victoria, than just Dame Edna. Foxtel have one of their Call Centres located in the Melbourne suburb, and recently SportSim were invited to help launch their “summer sports” campaign.

The soccer simulator was a magnet to Foxtel staff members (or perhaps it was the prize? – a signed Tim Cahill jersey), keen for a crack at the competition. The concept was simple – the staff member who scored the most consecutive goals would take the glory, the accolades from their colleagues, and most importantly the magnificent prize.

With around 80 players in 2 hours, the trusty SportSim soccer simulator did its job…getting the Call Centre workers out of their hot seats for a brief interactive interlude. Small gestures can make a big difference to staff engagement and morale….sport is a common language that never fails to bring people together and having fun.

Well done to everyone that stepped up to have a kick, and thanks to Foxtel for getting us involved. Great fun!
